i hate Fed Ex also.. shipping times are always wrong, they say no one was home and did not leave the package yet someone was home all day. Had got parts for Buick was packaged in two seperate boxes and shipped on same day, got 1 box then the 2ed box came two days later. Never had a proplem with UPS. They are allways on time and leave packages on the porch when nobodys home.

Umm, why would it say it's been delivered before its in your hands?

We use UPS at work. Our driver is great and I don't see how he would damage any packages, but I know there are bad apples out there. I usually use Fedex myself.

You can't trust YOUR driver, theres a hell of a lot of people on the way touching your package.

On Oct. 12, I ordered something (I won't tell you guys what it is). Fedex's website said expected delivery should be on Oct. 18. Here comes the 18th, I logon to fedex and it says the package has been delivered, signature and everything.

Apparently they sent my box (for Chris in Hawaii) to Illinois, where some lady name Archanna signed for it. Way to go fedex.

I work at a shipping company (we handle busniesses that gets lots of regular freight on a weekely schedule, and oversize items that DHL/UPS/FedEx won't ship) and ever since working there, I am scared to ship anything.
I work out on the runway and watch all the companies load/unload their stuff. Shit gets pretty wrecked. I myself have probably damaged loads of stuff, shipping companies are usually about time and money. Being careful = slow.

Until recently I have always been happy with and used FedEx for my shipping needs. I'll reserve any judgment on exactly how much I hate them until after they finalize the claim I made for absolutely destroying a perfect pair of e30/M3 fenders that were well packaged and boxed. All I can say is I am very disappointed, not only that they ruined a non-replaceable item but in the fact that their claims process is not only difficult but very slow. They claim 5-7 days from the time the claim is approved to the point of resolution but the approval process took nearly 2 weeks. Now that my claim is approved, I get an email and I have to wait another 5-7 days for a letter that outlines the result of my claim.

in gods country i make fed ex,ups and usps take numbers at the servants quarters entrance to my palatial estate. they used to play bumper cars trying to get in the cul de sac first to deliver their payload of BMW parts.
i prefer fed ex as ive had great luck except for the one time i shipped some trim to taiwan to this mother fucker and he evidently lived in a fucking rice paddy because they couldnt find him. so they billed me 70 bucks for some god damn reason. if anyone ever gets to taiwan i want to put a hit out on this prick

Further proving my hate for FedEx... My package was promised to arrive today. I just went a tracked the package and it now is NOT on a vehicle for delivery but sitting at the FedEx facility. Great, now it's supposed to be here tomorrow. Thanks for lieing to me FedEx. I decided to give them a call on the matter and they basicly said they can't do anything about it and I'll have it tomorrow.

Interesting thread. I have had good experiences with both FedEx and UPS, as well as a few unsatisfactory ones. One question for MR 325 or anyone else that has had issues with FedEx-were these packages being delivered via FedEx Express (blue/red truck lettering) or FedEx Ground (blue/green)?

I have a good friend of mine that works with FedEx Express. I did not know this, but she told me last night (after telling her about this thread) that FedEx express and ground are two completely different companies. She said FedEx Ground is not very good, and because of the fact they have the same name the Express side gets a bad rep when Ground screws up-even though they had nothing to do with it.

Definitely not trying to take sides, but the insider's point of view is interesting.

That makes sense, I've always had GREAT experiences with express 2-day stuff, but this is my first experience with "fedex home delievery" or whatever the hell, which is ground. It sucks so far.
