Besides, if all goes well today, my car will be getting a substantial hp upgrade this winter.
I might be able to get that "taken care of" for you Josh.
Shit I don't even OWN an E30 anymore (okay I lied, but its hardly drivable),
I'm rockin' the Subaru, yet where is my loyalty? I think it might have some-

Iv only owned my e30 for two years, and i could honestly say it was the best investment in my life... i dont think i could ever give it up, i have wanted an e30 m3 since i was four years old, and i saw them race at the nurburgring

I don't see myself ever selling my touring.

i usually have coupes for dd's. currently have this 90 325is i picked up a couple weeks ago

little bit of rust, i'll probably sell it after winter. although its in great shape, lots of new shit mechanically, heated sport seats, etc

i see myself buying an e36 4 door (or the e36 touring down the street from me if it ever becomes available) at some point, or maybe a 4 door 330i or an e39 540i6. But i will keep my e30, and probably buy an e30m3 at some point in the future. maybe even 2 (one just to have/cruise, one to track (depends what I do with my 240z)

e30's are inexpensive, easy to work on, dependable, fun to drive and parts are plentiful and reasonably priced.

After my ES was stolen last year, I was going to buy a MBZ 300E

But after driving the MBZ, and looking at the price of parts, I knew I'd be happier with another E30

My Cabbie has 110K on it, and my commute is only 1.5 miles each way, so I plan to keep this car for a long time.

Like I said, even if I do get something else (which in the future, I want either a Honda S2k or an E46 M3), I will always keep my E30. I'm just like trent in the feeling that I'm just not into much of anything new driving around, and am vastly umimpressed with the quality of most new cars.
Exactly.. I'm never getting rid of mine, I mean whats the point, its not my daily, nor will it ever be again..If it sits in the garage most of the time thats fine, its that one drive ever so often that puts a smile on my face...

krolson (bimmerphile) is out too- for a scoobie... Its a shame his situation wouldn't allow for the ix he's always been dreaming about.

I'm sellin the cabby next week. I've got a spare, nice, big engine sitting in my garage right now, so i'll still be around.

I've had a tough time deciding whether to fix up the 540, or build my dream e30(non-m that is) for insurance reasons... only time will tell.

I've owned a heavily modified E36, an e30 and now my 2002 and a WRX. I think it says something that I really want to sell the WRX and build another E30 to be a daily driver.

It's just strange for me I guess.... I've driven the 95 m3 now as a DD for almost 3 years and it really does suck compared to the e30 m3 (for me anyway). BUT, parts are a lot cheaper and maintenance hasn't been even close to as bad as on the e30 m3. So it's a pretty decent deal for a DD. I have a lot of love for the new(er) bmw's, but they just don't grab me like the e30 does. I've thought about selling the e36 and getting an early model x5, so i can tow the e30's around for track/projects that i do with them:).

i think its pointless to sell our damn cars....i mean the work by just touching it already puts the cars value (in our hands) up, and that little value has already surpassed the worthiness of our cars (in others hands or kbb). The only reason i would ever sell my car is if somebody offered a trade for a newer car, then i would just take that car and sell it and build up another e30, or keep it and just buiild up anoter e30. the e30 will always be around for me, and if it was cheap enough for an 18 year old to work on his own and buy 3 of them in one year, i think selling it is not a gain, unless you need driveway space or ure so woopd ure girlie say no. fuck that.

ever since i knew what the significance of cars (what like kindergarden?), ive always liked squarish boxy cars, and my fathers e36m i always looked nice, but just not the one. German cars i always liked because i jdm cars are just not as nice looking to me (cept for and r33/r34 skyline that is, which is also squarish go figure, but again plagued with problems). Then my father showed me a picture, it was a bmp postcard with the red bmp e30 on it and i was like I think i found the car.

We'll see though. from my habits, i always tihnk im never going to sell my currently interested things, but as i fall out of interest, it just collects and rots away....like all my airsoft equipment....i almost put 2 grand into airsoft and then one day i just stopped. i still do occasionally, but everyone around me has dropped dead from the airsoft ring and moved on to like some fag shit. good for haloween costumes....people dig.

For me, it is the chicks scowling at me that makes me hot for my car....

Seriously, I cannot think of a better value in automotive fun.

Or, I would be driving that instead.
