    E36 Injectors installed clicking gone!

I finally got around to installing my E36 injectors yesterday after having them for about six months. They were used so I was hesitant about them being faulty. But I bought them from a board member who always has e36 M3 parts for sale on ebay...so I went ahead.

I put them in cranked a few times and then car didnt even struggle to maintain idle!I left the car on for a few minutes punched the gas a few times and then went for a test drive. The car sounds SO many times quieter! For those annoyed with the stock injector noise you will not be disappointed.

    Cost $50 shipped Ebay---Thanks Revo86

Are these a direct bolt on? What other mods did you do to the car?

Yup direct bolt on I didnt even have to ease in the pressure with an eta FPR then back to "i" FPR like others have said to do.

Thats the only thing I did yesterday...and refill my bottle.

Engine Mods:2yr old New Head, BMP 282/272 cam,BMP Heavy Duty valve springs
BMP Perfomance Wires,535i AFM just bolted on,Mazula Bored Throttle Body
Bosch Platinum 2 plugs ...feel better than +4 I removed a month ago,Large KN Cone with erics heatshield,BavAuto Chip,BavAuto/TopGun Nitrous Kit @75hp, Ansa Exhaust
No Cat ,No Aircon,Mobil 1 Synthetic 15/50w,Redline fluids in Transmission/Diff
3.73 lsd thats needs to be swapped for a 4.10 lsd

I have some Stahl full length headers that I'm gonna put in when I replace my entire front suspension including new rack/arms/bushings in a week or two.

Even though I think the M20 is worthless in NA I still buy it little parts here and there while I decide what to do with it.Pisses me off that I sold an M50 I was building up recently because I thought I was getting an E30 M3.The guy now wants 50% more then what I sold it to him for! Its ok cause I'm going FI now after seeing Matts/others results.

Sounds like lot of work done for performance. What year 535i AFM did you use? Did you go with the E36 injectors because of all the other mods?

My car's engine is stock except for the Bavauto K&N Filter kit and heat shield. So the only benefit to this upgrade is quiter injectors right?

Shit yeah - I'd do this, just to quieten down my noisy M20. That way I'll only be able to hear the valves....

It's stupid to use anything other than M50 injectors in an M20.

what, you don't like they way 30# injectors flood the engine?

I think mustang injectors are probably just as good.. but M50 are closer to M20 specs if you just want to make it run a little better.

So what are the correct injectors to use, from the M50? They're 17#, is that correct?

What are stock M20 injectors, 15#?

According to the table in the link below the ones Im using are 18#.
                        http://carsoft.co.il/page3/Electronic%20Fuel%20Injector(EFI)%20Flow%20Data%20 Table.htm

Not my table though so I dont know how accurate it is.I used Bosch 0 280 150 415

---Court---I took the AFM of an 86 535i.On another board they stated that Ireland suggests you turn the wheel 2 clicks.I tried this and didnt notice a difference so I left it as is.The injectors were mainly done to rid of the excess noise and second for slightly better performance.

How easy is the injector swap? Are the M50 injectors straight drop-in's? I have an E36, and a set of extra injectors, y'see....

                              Hahaha - cool.

How long does it take? I don't have to yank the intake manifold, do I?
