no you don't need to remove the intake manifold. thus the tight spaces. I'd guess a couple hours if you take your time.
First you'll want to remove your fuel pump relay and start the car to run it out of fuel and depressurize the fuel lines. then all you really have to do is take off the valve cover (gives you a bit more room) unbolt the fuel rail, unclip the injector harness and pop out the injectors (gotta yank up on the fuel rail), clean around the area where they go in and then put it back together. there might be other small steps in there but that's most of it. the hardest part is getting the fuel rail/injectors out, since it's so tight in there.
