Shit man, that sucks. At least you saved all the receipts for the work you had done and should get your money back.

Yup, use those receipts. Also, do a search on eBay. An '88 2-door 5-speed iX sold on there two weeks ago for $6400. Print that auction out. Present it all to your insurance company. You should be able to get full value for the car.

Sorry for your loss. That's sad :(.

Yeah, I'd milk what you can out of the Insurance company and find a replacement. There's plenty of good E30s on the market.

I dont know how it all works but you should sue the driver, that is completely rediculous how drunk he was. $10000 lawsuit for emotional distress, loss of work, i'm sure you can come up with a bunch. it would give you some good mod money, and $10k isnt much for an insurance company. They will dick you around when they price out your car. See if you can have a classic car appraiser look it over and talk with him about everything you did, receipts, etc.

waking up and finding one of my rides smashed, vandalized or missing is my worst nightmare, next to knocking up a girl and her wanting to have it.

Make his insurance company give you a rental car, and DONT GIVE IT BACK until they give you a sufficient amount. :D

and/or threaten to sign the case over to your lawyer. Not a bad idea to do that anyway.

This does not count as a winter R3V.

That picture makes me sick to my stomach, I can't even imagine how you must feel. I'm really sorry to see that, I hope you find the car of your dreams with the insurance money.
