    Wait so let me get this straight because you never really explained...

    Your car was parked on the street and your drunk neighbor hit it with his Acura SUV? Do you see this man often?

      He never said it was his neighbor.

        damn that sucks, i feel for you because you have an iX and this just happened to my buddy's nice 535iS. A mental guy had dual insurance from the mental home and nationwide and rear ended his car going 55+ in a 25 when it was parked on the other side of the street. The tard's classic excuse was "there was a dog" hahahaha. Sorry for the loss man. Sometime you wonder how people get licenses.

          Leaf, you got the gist. He lived up the road around the corner. I never saw him before that night and only a couple times after.

          @the rest of the incident/insurance/project q's:

          Ill get into the details all over again when things are closer to complete.

          Unearth: I am in and around dtown/warminster/cburg/qtown/atown/easton/lanc/phila not so much yardley.

                  i was just guessing on the neighbor part since wife and kids were involved. Figured he must have lived close by where his family saw/heard the incident.

                    I'm with everyone else, how did everything turn out? Is that picture your replacement car? Glad to see you still in an e30.
                    West German BMWs, they just don't make the same as they did before the wall fell.
                    ^Case in point: Auto-Repair Technology. Everytime my car isn't starting or acting up I let it sit, sometimes for an hour, sometimes for days. But it eventually fixes itself.

                      There was no one else in the suv besides the driver, so no wife and kids involved per se.

                      and its no replacement. its the same car. Think: tear down,reconstruction, light restoration, while-your-in-theres, and the usual all-e30s-should-have type parts.

                      just keep your eyes peeled here on r3v for the full reintroduction and pictorials.

                        You had that rebuilt? wow I would have left her for the Buzzards and went looking for a clean southern/Cali car.

                        But your car right, after all the work she looks good.

                            Though I keep deflecting, Ill squash any insurance hopes and dreams for anyone treading thru this tread right now. I want to lay it all out for you all but theres just too much to be said and I would rather spew it all at once.

                            and M technik 3 your right. It would have been easier, cheaper, done much sooner, the list can go on and on. all in good fun eh. heh
