It wasn't much of a race at all. The caddys are essentially de-tuned ACO GT-LM spec cars, almost a tube framed chassis, with the motors mounted nearly 2 feet back from stock location. GM has been given tons of allowances on those cars.

PTG is running in the Grand Am series now. Tom said that basically the rules were becoming so tough on them that their cars wouldn't be able to compete. From the sound of things it was basically Porshe pushing the rules. Milner didn't have too many kind words for the series officials either when I was at PTG a couple months ago.Comment

You really didn't miss much. This whole situation with the new Cadillacs is fuckin' bullshit. I was reading a thread that is maintained by the ALMS the other day - many of the contributors were putting questions to the administration about the unusual number and nature of the "charities" given to the Cadillacs - including the rearward motor mounting. No real answers were given - just plenty of waffling and smokescreens. I'll have to see if I can dig it up.Originally posted by M-technik-3Damn damn damn, why won't my hotel get better programming. Point is - it's bullshit. Totally takes away from true competitive racing.Comment

Any racing is better than no racing. I get Nascar on Fox but zoom zoom making left turns only except 2 races a year gets old. I like Nascar but lets allow awd and technology into the game. It doesn't even have multiple tire choices anymore. Remember the Hoosier battle with Goodyear.Originally posted by Low Level E30You really didn't miss much.
