    Tire Size

i just got my 16x7 SSR comps in today and im starting to think about tires. I think im going to go with the yoko es100's. My car is fairly low and i was wondering from experience if anyone has had any rubbing problems with a 205/50 series. I just wanted to get some opinions.

Also if any one has any feedback for me on the tires that would be great.

    thanks

    Andy

205/50 is about perfect for a 16x7 wheel. I'd be very suprized if you had rubbing issues. if there's enough room I'd go with 225/45-16

Go 205/50, with as low as your car is, you won't be able to fit 225/45. Car's gonna look sick

how low? if you want to frequently track your car 225's would be ideal for a e30

ES100's are awesome, I run that exact tire (205/50) and I love it.

i've got the same size rims and the same exact tire...haven't put them on yet though... they look like they are a perfect fit and everyone says es100's rock.

ES100's only negatives are that it is loud at 80+ speeds, and also don't last extremely long.

Why wouldn't 225/45's fit? Outside fender rub?

All depending on offset...also could rub the shock/strut on the inside.

I haven't noticed any noise with my ES100s..

my only real complaints are the mediocre hydroplaning resistance and the treadwear..

I'm saying the noise could be better. It is acceptable. I found the tires to do well in rain.

well they grip well in the wet.. but in a downpour I can barely go the speed limit, especially now that they've worn down so much.
