Automatic radiator for manual car...oil cooler?

I'm looking for a new radiator for my '90 325is. It's a manual transmission car.

I saw a nice looking radiator from an automatic car and I'm pretty sure it will fit, but can the tranny fluid cooler be used for engine oil instead??

    I don't see why not...

Or you could just use the radiator as is and plug the tranny lines

Your car already has an engine oil cooler.

In autos it is for the trans fluid. I'd leave it blocked off as I'm thinking less heat is better.

I also suggest checking that it provides sufficient cooling capacity for a non auto. I don't see why it wouldn't but I'd 'be sure before I went with it.

I have an auto radiator in my track car - worked well enough for me on some fairly hot days this summer. You should be fine.

I know I already have an oil cooler, but I like the idea of a water-oil intercooler. I would particularly like it if it was inside the thermostat loop
