I've never had my fuel gauge light come on, so just yesterday I decided to wait until the needle was officially right in the red and it still never came on. You think the bulb just needs to be replaced? Or does it go farther than that before it comes on? I've never seen it on before, but I also never wait till it's less than 1/4.
Your fuel gauge light work?

Ive noticed on 2 of my 3 e30s that I really have to drive in the red for a long time (50 miles in my 318) before the light comes on, and even then I can go for at least 50 more. I actually got 430 miles on a tank coming home from school during some desperate times.
Carry around a 2 gallon can of gas till your car runs out. Then youll know if the light works, plus just how far you can push it.Back to my roots

Yes, mine is on now and there is about 5 gallons worth of gas in the tank :evil:Mtech1 v8 build thread - https://www.r3vlimited.com/board/sho...d.php?t=413205
