if someone wants to buy some cf stuff, i'll give you my kidneys to use as a mold. they're in excellent condition, just need to be cleaned up, and you've got to know what you're doing.
Does anybody make real Carbon Fiber kidney rings?

As far as a vacuum machine, I was thinking for small parts, you could use a Food Saver vacuum sealer. The bags come in about 12-18 inch widths on a roll, so it would work great for small stuff.Comment

Yeah, I actually have a Foodsaver, but I won't use it since I don't want polystyrene resin fumes going through the pump. I bet they'll saturate the machine and leave all my food tasting nasty.
It was the best present I remember getting in a long time though - very useful. I've had 2 year old steelhead that I packed and it came out perfect.
I'll see what I can dig up on the internet, maybe there's a way to use those storage bags you suck the air out with a house vacuum - you see 'em for sale on TV. I need to find out the requirements for the vacuum bag so that it doesn't melt into the resin, either because of chemical reaction or temperature when the resin kicks off.
It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.Comment

I agree with the whole taste thing. I was looking on eBay though and you can pick one up for around $100. Then you would use it only for that purpose.Yeah, I actually have a Foodsaver, but I won't use it since I don't want polystyrene resin fumes going through the pump. I also thought about the "Space Bags" as I think they are called. But You might be right about them melting.Comment

All that CF is vinyl stickers on Vlad's car.I'm guessing that guy Vlad may know? In the pics of his M3 it looked like the window trim/Shadowline? was made of carbon fiber and something tells me those aren't stickers from e-bay. If he had this done I'm guessing he may have a lead on how to get some kidneys. True story, I once saw a picture of an e30 tub and a 911 tub made completely out of carbon fiber. the whole thing weighed like 50 lbs or something crazy like that. Don't know where that pic is but it's out there somewhere on the net.Comment

I would be interested in a splitter if I could actually find the number to call them at. I have tried to cut down the URL and it goes to a forum front page and then I tried to go to modifiedinc.com but it won't come up.
Linus do you know what the actual URL is for that company? Have you heard anything about their quality? ThanksComment
