    air to air intercoolers:
    good things:
    cheap price
    looks
    ease of design
    weight

    bad things :
(especially when top mounted) will not cool the charge in heavy traffic and stop-and-go-s. so needs direct flow of air through it
    long piping(lag)
    size

    water to air intercoolers:
    good things:
    very efficient
best for heavy traffic and stop-and-go-s
    short piping- no lag
    compact size

    bad things:
    weight
    very complex system
needs another radiator+ additional fan in front but radiator way much smaller than air to air
needs circulation pump and electrical wiring
    price

    what would i choose?
depends in what conditions i drive
    how much money i have
how complex is to mount front air to air intercooler and how long piping will be needed
i will never ever choose perfomance parts in favour of aesthetics
    but thats just me

Finally answered my *bump* post about this...thanks for the info....nice found.

I will keep the Air-to AIr FMIC since is arriving in some days, the air-water IC seems to be expensive stuff and requires more money to make them work if is you are planing to build your own IC....

BTW...a war has begun here, well looks like...and I'm with Chris in this one and congratulations in your IC Todd, looks damm good for me, I don't care if my engine bay looks cheap or horrble, the fact is that must be functionaly over the "looK" :P

Should prolly just keep my mouth shut as I have no turbo setup and prolly never will. But this forum is alot like watching a bad soap opera. Oh well. Most of you guys keep it between the ditches here, but I guess others like to go off road and sling mud. It's just that stuff should remain in the Jeep forums, we drive supa-fine little road cars, NOT 4x4's. So let's keep it clean, huh? On second thought, hell, sling all the mud you want, it CAN be fun to watch. :D

I didn't say a fucking thing about TCD's quality, performance, knowledge etc etc etc.

I SAID I THOUGHT IT LOOKED FUCKING UGLY.

And it does, end of story. Now I have to deal with all you fucks because you as usual are blowing something way out of proportion.
