Yeah, the only place I'll use it is on a flat hard surface, and just for lifting my car up enough to get the jack underneath. But I haven't tried my new jack on the front end yet, so I might not even need to anymore.

I bought that same jack that you did Josh at Costco and I found that I can only get it under the front frame rails, but it wont fit under from the front.

I want those low profile race ramps.. I'm so sick of having to drive onto blocks before I can jack up my car!

That is bad ass, but I wouldnt want the extra weight off all that shit on a weekend racer or street car.

That could be useful if the rules of your particular racing class called for your car to be of a minimum weight. That way after you got rid of the back seat, the jack, the glove box, the tool kit thats mounted on the trunk lid the carpeting in the trunk, and then you drill holes in the pedals and swap out some of the body panels with fiberglass, you will probably need to put some of that weight back on the car in order to qualify.

Owner claims that 4 jacks weight 9 kg's, they are pneumatic, not hydraulic.

i was changing a flat once and the BMW jack fucking failed on me and dropped the car onto its rotor. luckily i wasnt under it and didnt cause any damage.

im not exactly sure what happened because i had my back turned and then i just heard a loud ass metal falling noise, turned back aorund and the car was on the ground. looks like the jack 'slipped' off or something though.

Are you sure you had the wheel chock on the correct side of the tire? My cousin dropped a car off the jack in the same manner because he was changing a tire on a hill (1st mistake). The car was parked facing uphill and he put the wheel chock on the FRONT side of the opposite wheel. I guess he was trying to prevent the car from rolling uphill.

I think the jack is pretty baller. It's way better than the gay scissor jacks of Hondas and a couple people have been jealous of ours design when I was using it. Sure, never get under the car on one, but that's a goddamn given anyway. The design is easy to use and moves the car quick. It's a PITA on gravel, but what isn't? My car has only fallen on the tire, but it wasn't like the car falling over the jack wasn't predictable. Just be smart and have a jackstand.

                                Mine collapsed.

With my hand on top of the jack while my other hand cranked it.

Corner of car was supported by my hand which was sandwiched between the car body and the top of the jack. I was stuck there screaming at my mate to find another jack and get the car off my hand. Luckily he turned up about a minute before it happened, dunno what would have happened if he hadn't been there.

Anyway, went to A&E and nothing broken, just major swelling and bruising. Car came away with a dent in the shape of my hand.

Later that winter I found water sitting in the boot where the jack sits.
