Or you could try window tint in the aerosol spray can. Looks like a cool project. Can't wait to see the finished car :D

Anyhow, I am hopeful and I will keep checking back with them.

I will definately keep checking. My car is a 4-door but I won't complain. This is the closest thing that I have ever been able to find and it will do just fine. It would be cool if you could take photos of a car from multiple angles and then download them into a PC that is connected to some sort of molding or modeling machine that can make a real life plastic scale model representative of the picture.

When I was a teenager, I had a 1/10 scale model R/C car that resembled an '86 Pontiac Firebird. I would have bought other cars if they also had a vette, a mustang, and other cars representative of that time. Maybe I am just wierd but I have an appriciation for models and R/C cars that are representative of what most people drive. Most model kits consist of cars that are flashy, fancy, or exotic to some degree. But nobody ever made a Ford Escort model kit.. or one representing a Yugo, or a Datsun B210, or a Nissan Quest minivan.

I hear ya, I was happy when they released a 1/25th scale 1964 Plymouth with a slant 6 in it.

Maybe I spoke a little too soon. I went to http://www.modelcarkits.com/news.html and found several "regular" cars. Most were die-cast but they had a Pinto, a vega, a pacer, and a gremelin amongst other "normal" vehicles.

Thank You for putting up that link :D . I didn't really look through the die cast, but the plasic kits like the 72 vega and gremlin will be mine when they come out. And the 70 dodge dart (hemi hunter) i think i will get soon also.

                    Update.

ok well its now been a week and here is how far ive come in customizing my 1:18 scale M3. enjoy
                    .
                    shell and chassis off.

                    .
the new tires/wheels/brakes(brembo) look how wide they are

                    .
another photo of the tires compared together.

                    .
the other enemy comes to my shop as well :pimp:

                    .
foglight out and air ducts in (well ill just paint them in)

                    .
                    bare shell

                    .
taillight out front light out as well to be SMOKED!

                    .
interior. WOW its so nice that im even considering leaving the front seats.

                    .
comparing the stock seats to the recaro seats that i planned on puting in. however i love the texture on the stock seats they look real! might just paint them and keep em like my car.

                    .
and as if that wasnt enough, check out whatelse came in the mail a few days ago

                    .

i now need to buy paint, brushes, and some glue, and maybe by next week she will be done. I cant wait to see what it will look like.

Im also planning on making a front splitter and a evo III rear flap for the wing. well see how that comes out.

i used little screw drivers. flat and philips and thats it. the whole kit is held in by screws. and some stuff was glued on, had to brake them, but will glue it back together. now i just have to wait till monday or tuesday to stop by toys-r-us and buy some paint.
