    pfft......years ago in my eta I mis-shifted from 5th to 1st, instead of 5th to 3rd trying to beat a yellow light going about 60mph, rear tires squealed like crazy and I never heard an m20 make those kinds of noises before!!!!


    I just put it back in 3rd and drove away fine like nothing happened. 8)

      Let him buy an M10


      I push my M10 almost daily till the +7k rpm range when he's on full working temperature
      Maybe you guys think an M10 is valueless but it has proved his ability in the 02's

                I just wanna know how he even got the thing into 2nd gear without knowing it. :? I mean the gears aren't close at all in our cars. My car I would literally have to yank it as hard as I could to get it to go into 2nd with the engine at that high a speed.

                Oh yea, can you kick him in the nuts for bein such an idiot.

                  2nd gear is about 1/4inch to the left of 4th in my car.

                  Maybe he just doesn't have a sloopy stock shifter?

                    yeah, i just put the 3.0l Z4 SSK in my car, and the shift pattern is Very close together. I can understand how you could make that mistake.

                      SSK would still not make you able to stick the thing into 2nd doing anything over 60mph. Guess my syncros are going.

                          It is just a trophy. Engines come and engines go. That engine just went out with a bigger bang than most. Things like that are good. It makes you get off your ass and work on your car.

                            I might drop off my car there and leave it for a couple weeks next time I'm in SoCal...we'll see.
