    Will 2 door E30 seats fit into a 4 door E30?

I came across a 89 black 325is today in the local pik-a-part yard; they will sell me the complete tan leather interior for $75. The Recarro seats will need recovering, they are pretty trashed but I can't go wrong at this price.

I have a 91 black 318i 4 door with tan vinyl interior, just wondering if the Recarro's from the two door E30 are a direct fit, I'm guessing the back seats will be no problem.

The E30 in the pik-a-part yard is a 89 325is, automatic, broken timing belt, 270K on odometer. I pulled the M-technic steering wheel, map light mirror, rear deck spoiler. The front grill, bumpers, radiator, and valance has already been picked off the car by someone else.

there is no fitiment issues whatsover. The back seats of both 2 and 4 door cars (including the m3) are homogenious and will fit fine, although the m3 seats have only two seat belt holsters, requiring you to delete one from your non-m e30. I have a 4 door car with cabrio seats up front and an m3 rear seat, and all is well. For $75, you cant g o wrong. Plus, alll the quarters you will find under your seat tracks when you pull your original seats will cover half the cost.

That's not true, the seats are different. At least with standard 2 door cars (non-m or cabrio). I've seen about 5 sets of each 2 and 4 door, and the seat bottom is different. It doesn't cause any huge issues, but on my 4 door with 2 door rear seats there is small gaps on either side where the seat top meets the bottom. It's no big deal though, it's still nearly flush, the seat bottom just doesn't shove way under the upper seat like it should for the best support when someone sits in the back.

I dont have any of these "gaps" I have a 2 door rear in my 4 door. Only difference is the sharp outer and lower corners on the bottom half are rounded on the 4 door for easy access and squared on a 2 door to be up against the panel. Works fine, just not as easy to get in and out of leg wise.

Fronts work just fine. 2 door fronts, the seatbelt is not connected to them. 4 door fronts, have seatbelts bolted on. Simple pull the bolt, and attach the seatblelt.

I'm beginning to think early vs. late may have slightly different shapes. I still have a couple sets laying around, I'll compare them today.

It works. You will miss teh rounded corner on the rear seat to make getting in and out easier, and it'll be strange that your front seats have the folding lever to allow people to get into the back from the front... but they work no problem.

Only convertible rear seats won't work
