I dont know what you should offer. Did she say a price? 6K?

I paid too much for mine. But then again, it was in great shape with 56K miles.

Yea calysps sucks, I would never drive a calypso e30

I got an amazing deal on mine. It had 87k and was in good condtion, but wasnt treated the way that i treat it(like a baby, i pamper my car). All it needed was a new top which wasnt a problem. I guess you can say that i stole the car from the guy at $2750. Well worth it. Hell the cars worth more than double that. My dad wanted me to sell it and try to make money, then get a reliable honda he says. I said screw that. E30s for life!
Holy crap dude, he told you to SELL an E30 for a HONDA!

    AHHH!!!

Damn good choice! by teh way... ;)

Relating to the cabrio - go look at it anyway. See if there's anything that needs to be done, a reason for a drop in price. Then offer the max you can afford, and see what comes of it. Maybe she'll counter-offer with a price you can attain sometime soon?

Thanks Aaron, that car is clean and sexy. Wheels + lowering + exhaust = awesome.

      sorry for the off-topic.....

One of my buddy's dad owns a 318 cabrio. He thinks it's pretty pimp and likes to roll in it once in a while. The more grunt of the 325 would make it even better!

        Good ole Cabrio

The Cabrio is great if you don't plan on going streetlight warrior bone stock. The 200 pounds does make an obvious difference if you're racing another E30. As for me I bought mine for about $1500 but the front struts basically didn't exist. It used to bound like an old regal. But I got some Tokico shocks and Eibach springs and it worked out fine As for handling I can't tell any huge issues since my previous cars were a 528e and a 325e with stock suspensions and all my friend's have hondas and what not so I can outhandle all of them with ease.

As for performance I can hang with a 95 mustang with just my "shady" ebay chip and my 10s in the trunk. This leads me to wonder what a gutted coupe with a chip and a 4.10lsd would pull off.

        Just buy the Cabrio
        Smirk at people at streetlights
Install some kinda system in it because a Cabrio with no beat just seems silly.
        And get a chip.

she's gonna put it on autotrader for 8900.. and i was like 'i was really looking to spend about 4-5000 on a new car.. blah blah blah. ' and yea.. so she's like.. 'hmm yeah theres some other things for that price, and i'd be willing to negotiate down a bit, but not that much.. but you seem really nice and just outgoing to go call me and everything, so if you can come up with a couple thousand more dollars i'd be happy to sell it to you

              *grumble*

              i dont have that money.

                Call her

Call her once a week because she isn't going to get 9 Gs for an E30. Unless it has a Euro S50 in it or this T4 Turbo I have on my desk.

How much do you think people would pay for a raggity looking, perfect suspension, perfect motor, big turbo E30?

Perhaps you guys have never looked at E30's on autotrader. Almost all the low mile cabrios I have seen on there are over $10,000. And people pay for them. Granted, I am in Florida. But you will be hard pressed to buy any E30 with 77k for $4,500-5,000, not matter what model it is.
