Differences between 88-89+

Other then the bumpers what are the differences for the two years?

88 came with metal bumpaz but you can put plastic ones on

89 came with plastic

88-89 had pop out rear windows, ellipsoids, and the 3 spoke sport steering wheel

90+ has fixed rear windows, sealed beams, and an airbag steering wheel.

88 had the 325, whereas 89 on were all 325i's

Motronic 1.3 in the late model 325i's too.
And a bunch of weird parts in your engine bay. 89's have some parts that not even the dealer has proper part numbers for anymore

Two same year 89's could have different throttle bodies and brake booster parts for example.

later cars came with less standard options (ie no OBC, non-sport seats, etc).

personally I think the OBC is pointless..
