        I used to watch the batmobile race at Riverside (California) in the mid-70's when I was a kid. I remember my uncle raving about how the BMW's were absolutely destroying the Porsche turbo 930's in the long straightaway.

          These cars made between 345 and 375 horses depending on what year they were from. IIRC max power was at 8500 RPM. These was an article in either a Roundel or a Bimmer on a batmobile 5 or 6 months ago.

            The 3.5 CSL made 430hp @ 8500rpm according to Bimmerworld! That was thanks to the 4 valve head.

                    One of my favorite car's bmw ever produced, thanks for that info euroshark. I was about to look it up, thanks for saving me the time.:up: I have not been able to find a good video of the csl in race trim. Anybody have any hosted?
