    Subframe Carnage!!!

    Pulled out my subframe this morning from the 335. it was worse than I thought it was...

    check this out:

    the two bolts on the drivers side backed out slightly over 5k miles, then the mounts on the passenger side just ripped the metal like it was nothing.

      The same thing will happen if you have an I engine, and a 2.79 diff.

          literally over the course of 24 hours it went from totally driveable with no symptoms to fully framer-ed.

            yeah, i know what you mean. extreme vibrations in first gear giving it some gas. scared me when it happened to my car.

                Mine was doing it in every gear over 1/8 throttle.

                          Hey Joe, If you could take a few pics from aways back, then get in close for detail - that would really be helpful since then I'd get a good idea of how to make some re-enforcement plates to weld in.

                          Is this a common issue, and if so has this already been well documemted as to how much metal and where to put it is needed?

                            How long has your car been in 335 config? Did the subframe have any suspect clues of pending failure prior to the big six?
