This was incredibly irresponsible of the radio station to broadcast.

Sorry, I in no way said it was morally right.
Like I said, I didn't want to start any type of debate or arguement.
It was terrible, yes. Over the past few months, terrible is an understatement as to what's been going on.
Fact of the matter is, the radio station, as long as they warned people, had the RIGHT to play it. YES, it was NOT morally right - and they probably shouldn't have played it in the first place.
Thinking about it, most people wouldn't hear a warning on the radio, since they may be driving, or doing another task. Then out of no where, you hear it, and it is totally unexpected. Frankly, I don't even see the reason for it to be played anywhere? We know it happened, we don't need to see how.
I understand where you are coming from, and it is completely reasonable. I was just stating that I backed Tangent up, for the most part, on his views. Morally, the whole thing is wrong and I hate to have heard it has happened.- Sean Hayes

Welcome to the "real world" (not the MTV version). I think everyone over the age of 18 should see this video. What happened to this guy is nothing new. This and similar instances happen far more than you know. Most Americans are far to soft and sheltered to understand/stomache the truths about what goes on outside our borders. Maybe it is time for everyone to wake up to the reality of life, death, and how humanity really works. Things like this have been going on since the beginning of time. Most are simply not video taped or ever reported. A simple informative history report over the last 20 years will show almost countless times of similar instances to the one in question. I definitely feel sorrow for the victim and his family. It was quite a gruesome act. Although he shouldn't have been there in the first place, the victim is not to blame, our government is not to blame, the perpetrators are the ones to blame.
What I find ironic is that the strongest superpower in the world worries more about hurting someone's feelings than protecting it's own people. The USA will probably continue down the path of naiveté/liberalism until it is too late. Eventually, like many other great civilizations, when we are content being fat, happy, and politically correct we will be conquered too. Trial lawyers will not be able to protect us against those who want to invade and kill us. While we sit on our thumbs whining about free healthcare, socialist ideals, and hoping to inaugurate weaker leadership for our country; the dead from 9/11 are looking down on us asking, "why the fuck are you wasting your time with selfish unimportant issues?".Don't forget the good things Hitler did.

Sitting here in Iceland and hearing and seeing what is happening
I get really frustrated,,
Those idiot iraqies don´t care about freedom they don´t know what that means or even close to it, they have been bossed around by leaders for generations and it ain´t never going to stop unless the people themselves do it,
It´s been done over the course of time and will happen again, French taking over from the king and so on,,
They need something to bring them together and it ain´t the US , NATO , money or whatnot that will do it,, it´s going to be somebody who has really tasted real freedom.
It´s what all those nations need, look at what´s happening in some other arab countries,
alot of schools and buildings are beeing constructed by the goverment, some don´t even have to pay taxes, everything is for the people not the politicians
I am 100% sure that you americans have no idea what people outside of the US really think about your goverment and military at this time,,
You think people are pissed of at seeing those pictures of amercians/british hurting somebody,, think again, the respect you had has been lost yet again, first with invasion into Iraq where there where no weapons found, and now this,
The money spent on invading Iraq should have been given to your children for college funds, health care, not spent on this that will not do anything but bad to the reputation of the americans
You have nobody to blaim for this bad rep. except your good people in Washington
Also those people have been fighting since before christ, way before anybody knew what america was
Also : Thank god I live here in IcelandGunni

I'm not trying to start an argument here, I'm just letting him know that we're not stupid, and we do know of the distaste the rest of the world has for us right now.My mountains are better than yours.

yeah, i saw the video on Faux (oops, i mean Fox ;)) news the night it was announced... they paused the video feed right after the guy in the middle pushed him to the ground, but kept the sound going. no disclaimer/warning of the "this is graphic, don't let your kids watch" type, but it was the 10pm news.
still, i didn't sleep well that night.
my personal opinion is that we should cut our losses and GTF out. but you know what they say about opinions.past:

alright...time for my .02 worth...
first off...i'm sick and tired of the "politically correct" sabotage
being committed on behalf of the liberal media...talk about double
standards and self serving motives?! "we can't show footage of
9/11 again because it upsets people" guess what. people NEED
to be upset as HELL! we ought to be replaying those scenes
every freakin' day! but where's the video?! you can't even find
the footage on the internet. it's easy for the media outlets to
effectively "change" history by simply suppressing it...we see
no images of 9/11--but i'm sick and tired of seeing a bunch of
naked ass Iraqis wearing leashes or in pyramid formation...i
could give a crap...these guys aren't guilty of traffic violations...
these guys are sold out to the concept of world domination in
the name of Islam...the basis of their belief is convert or die...those
prisoners would have absolutely no remorse if given the chance
to videotape your decapitated head rolling around on the floor...
war is not pretty...our military is trained to keep peace by breaking
stuff and killing people--and their first priority should be OUR well
being and no one elses...let them do their job and stop trying to make
them feel guilty about it...
