Look at this nice rare item that showed up at my door today!

Last week I purchased a Genuine Hartge m20 Valve cover on ebay, I scored it for only $45 shipped the seller had no idea what it was. Only problem is it's been defaced some STUPID Prevoise owner had the Hartge letters machined down Well any ways, I'm working on having a custom metal sticker made that will have the exact dimensions of the stock letters. So that will be on there sometime soon.
Here are some pics, I gave it a nice bath and scrubbing.

Tommorow I'll install it and when ever the sticker arrives I'll repaint the cover and sand the raised sections shiny.

I always liked the E30 Hartge products. Too bad many of them are no longer produced.

Nice score on the valvecover

Yep, that's why I only paid $45 shipped for it. There was a nice fuzzy dirty pic of it in the auction so I grabbed a BMW magazine with a H27 featured in it compared the covers and they were the same so I purchased the cover then and there.

          SICK.

Hartge made some of the best looking products for E30's. So clean and simple.

Nice score! You should have it powdercoated, then polish the raised parts.

I think Ken meant that are you sure the letters were ever there, and that it wasn't a replica made sans-logo?

Its definitely real. Why would you make a replica valve cover, and then sell it cheap? That defies all logic. I saw pictures of a real one next to this one, and they looked exact.

How much one go about making a replica valve cover anyway? I wouldnt mind an AC Schnitzer one ;)

Can't fake a Hartge one as easy as the bogus Alpina units on Ebay.

You can see where the letters were ground off and it has a Hartge 6-digit part number on the underside which I compared to a genuine cover of a friends in the uk and they both have a 6 digit number in the exact same place.
