Well it seems like it's pretty even right now on the voting. We'll let you guys know which one is which, but first I got a question:

Seeing the quality of these US spec grills, would you be interested in a set of replica Euro Grills for say....$50? If yes, add yourself to the interested list:

    1. Erick - rwdrift
    2.
    3.
    4.

If we have enough interest we'll place a large order of these.

^You can't really see the top ones upper bracket area.

I actually have OE and knockoff ones here from bma, they are nearly identical from the front, but from the back you can tell a differance, the bmw ones are smoother and ofcourse have the roundel etc. knockoff ones are just the jaggy/swirly plastic on the back.

The foam on the knockoff one is full legnth, on the oe one it is not.

Hard to tell from the front.

Hard to tell from the pics but I'll say the top one is OEM.

What a horrible liar. ;) You know the answer because I told you over the phone when you placed the order for your brake pads. :p Anywho, I'm sorry to dissapoint the majority, but the top one is the OEM one. It's been definetly a fun poll to follow as some people voted the right option but wanted to even change it for the wrong one :D

                        That's spot on right there.

The main idea is to see how similar these would look. Obviously these are just pictures but here at the office we all seemed pretty impressed at how these look front the front appearance (which is what's exposed to the outside of the car)

Now that being said, we can order a huge set of Euro Grills from the same manufacturer in Europe if there is the demand for it. If we can get 50 people interested, we can get these for about $50 + shipping to you guys.

How about it guys? Brand new replica Euro grills for $50? Who's down? I'm getting a set or two for spares on my drifting endeavours. :)

Um... just to re-clarify, these would most likely be $50 + shipping. Shipping varies per zip. :)

I'm going to bold that in my last post. :p

I have a set of the replicas - got them from abrahamsmotosport. they are "good" but there is definitely a quality difference. also, the color is wrong - they are flat black, while the OEM grilles are satin. but repainting them satin black isn't a big deal.. they are probably "good enough" overall.

Looking at these US grills up close, I can barely tell the difference in the finish between the Genuine BMW and the replica. But yeah, you can definetly tell there are differences when comparing them side by side (especially in the back), but even when you're standing in front of the car staring at them, I doubt you could spot the difference.

Maybe you can give some input on that nando.

                                Thanks,
