What do you think about BBS RC's?

I don't have an e30 yet, but I'm looking for one. I have these BBS RC wheels from a my brother's old e30.

What do you think of them? Go well with the car? I haven't seen many e30's with these wheels...

i think they would look pretty good in 17s but the size you have there just looks a little awkward IMO

I think the reason they look awkward is the absence of a lip. If they had a lip they would look 10x better.

TSW Hockenheim's are knockoffs of these wheels, not the other way around. I personally like them, but it isn't up to me. :D

            Here's a pick of Hock's on my 325is:

            1987 E30 cabrio | Bumper swap | H&R Sport | Koni Yellow | Eibach Sways | BavAuto strut bar | Cardinal seats
            MTech2 wheel | Husco Armrest | Smoked Hella Smileys | 5k HID | Stromung | RS003
            | Shadowline | Amber Fogs | Too much else to list

Yeah I figured as much, just not one of bbs's finer looking wheels. But leave it to TSW to copy it...lol. Like said earlier though, they may not be my cup of tea, but you definitely could do far worse.

FWIW, I couldn't agree with your assessment of TSW wheels any more strongly. They're only on the IS because I got them free with my cabrio. They literally have chunks missing from the lips. I do like the design, though.

I personally dig the wheels. You dont see many on E30s. Theyre definitely not played out by any means. IF you decide to sell em, Id actually be interested.

I've had a set of 18" staggered offset RC's, Polished 17" RC's, I'm on 17" silver RC's now and I have two brand new 17" motorsport edition RC's still in their original boxes.

those 4x100 16" RC's are rare. I wouldn't get ride of them. If they were on craigslist local to me I'd buy them and then buy a a 4 lug e30 to put them on.

They look great, just the 16's are a little undersized for the design of the wheel. protect them as much as you can. I saw pics of an e30 wagon on ebay once with those wheels on it and it looked amazing.

                        18's when i first bought the car (pre-body parts/paint/suspension)

^^alright your post has swayed my previous decision on the appearance of them. The RC's look amazing on those two m3's. I think you're right though, the reason they look kinda weird is because the design is kinda skewed by the smaller appearace. The OP picture also shows the wheels at kind of a weird angle as well. I demand moar pics!

Zack , they would look better with a bit more dish to them , but they will beat bottlecaps any day .
Maybe roll them for a little while then once you pick something else up you can unload these .

Those are actually the Hockenheim-R's which are a nice looking wheel in the right size .
That set is just too shallow .

The regular Hockenheims are just plain fugly .

I'm with you on this.....the flush face look just doesn't do it for me, otherwise its a nice style. My brother has a set of these in 18s for his '98 M3.
