Pics of a fun TCD project.

Proof that sometimes we actually build something for fun. Sweeney is building an engine for his personal car and just wanted something different. He has successfully married some S38 throttle bodies and intake manifold with a m30 intake manifold flange and installed them on his m30b35. The engine will be getting a water/air intercooler that will have six individual runners leading to the throttle bodies. It ought to be quite the looker.

So he cut the m30 flange off a manifold and welded it onto the m5 throttles? I knew I should of kept my m88 intake for the m30 swap I'm going to do sometime.

                  Todd, nice upgrade there..

What kind of gains we can expect from injecting water/alcohol in a N.A. engine? just cooldown the temp and making the Plus width of the injectors increase or what?

I was thinking on doing this in my STroker Jeep since I dune it a lot i heat climated and get's heat soaked in hard climbs, and just was thinking in dropping a bit of some temp cooldown thing.

We bought these used and they need repair for $250.

Nope. We bought them from a yard in SD. They were damaged when the motor was over revved and shot material up the intake and cracked one of the throttle bodies.

Diego, im not sure how advantageous alcohol/water injection would be on an NA motor, as it would do more taking up of space in the combustion chamber than anything.

but hey, i could be wrong! im sure it has applications NA wise that im unaware of

With all this great breathing potential, what have you (or Sweeny) decided on for a cam? Any port work? Open up the valves some?
