pretty sweet shit if there is a fence trick.

Fence tricked a 351c head (e-brock) for my buddies 63 falcon we were putting a LSC 5.0 carbed into, set a side of the fence, off roaded back later, picked it up. Just ask Sean in Indio, they have some yards on farmland out there.

Tossing stuff over the fence is something that they take VERY seriously around here. You really don't know how many employees are actually watching you until get anywhere remotely close to the fence with a part in your hand. There is even a yard around here that has a lookout who sits on the roof of the office watching for people both inside and outside of the fence.

yeah, thats watched heavily in atl too. good friend of mine runs the trailer park next door to a PAP and because of him busting mexicans trying this, he gets really good deals on crap from the yard.
i normally try to bring this canadian with me when i go searching for stuff. its funny actually, bringing this guy through a junk yard, he'll ramble on about how many of a certain car he had... lots of crazy automotive facts, etc

I can see how easy that would be if you manage to get it over the fence in the first place. I forgot to mention that most of the junkyards in neighboring Maryland sit in the middle of the woods so if you manage to get through the miles of wilderness and thick waist-high underbrush to retrieve the loot, you would be hard pressed to explain to the cops why you are walking down the middle of a rural street with a cam and a valve cover in each hand.

                  That sucks.
It was inside the yard but toward the front(this is a huge yard). The counter guy who knows me and that i am a regular there sold me all the parts thinking that the car had already cleared and was ready to be crushed. Apparently after the yard workers saw how thoroughly i stripped it they got really pissed. I'm still cool with the counter guy though.

I still say it's more fun to jump on to the hood of a car and punch straight through the windshield.

Did you notice that whenever he wants to buy a part, he offers to trade ECUs for it? Now you know why...

yeah, whats up, if an eta ecu were worth $5 and the i worth $20, isnt that an even swap? (4 eta's for 1 i) do the guy a favor and "be cool"

the cool thing is going in the junk yards that stack cars, climb up top and jump down on a car with closed windows. with enough force, a window will blow out. ive heard its a cool thing

I went to a junkyard this morning that stacks cars 3 levels high. This would be the perfect place to perform a stunt like that. I don't know how safe those stacks are. When I was in the yard looking for an E30, I could hear the metal creaking in some of the stacks as if one of those piles were about to fall.

My mechanic told me that used ECU's are relatively hard to find because they have to be within a certain range of your VIN for it to work properly. I ended up having to pay $350 for mine and the mechanic had to try 3 different units before he found one that worked.
