Can you please show some proof of this? I seriously doubt they are faster than the Falkens in the dry, I've driven on both and I feel it's the opposite, but I never timed anything.

another vote for the RS2. awesome in the rain until they're almost dead.

you'll find that most of tirerack's "UHP" summer tires (not max) are decent rain performers.

I mean, it's not a handful, but I was just surprised that with barely 100hp they have no grip at wot in 1st and even 2nd in barely wet conditions .

            dorifto lol

+ 1 I've had the same experience with them, I've also had no problems what so ever with the falkens in the ran.

I've had experience with two flavors of Falken brand tires. The first set was the (no longer avail.) Azenis Sports - a great dry weather tire. I did a few track days on these and they held up pretty well for a street tire. In the wet they were 'ok' at best. Their lack of center tread channel meant that any standing water was going to make for some tail-happy moments - otherwise they were fine. The other set of Falkens were the Ziex 512s, a much more all-season oriented tire. This model has five continuous channels to move away water (one fat one in the center and two more to either side). In all but the nastiest of downpours, these tire did really well. In the dry they were respectable but nowhere near the level of dry grip of the Azenis Sports.

As for the RT-615s, I've never had a chance to run these but my brother has on his '98 M3. He's got a few track days on them now and has been happy with them. The only downside is that the back tires are bald after ~6K miles.

                    Get a 318iS. That'll solve everything.

                        Let me reiterate.

Get a 318iS because they have no power. That'll solve your problem. Not trying to be a douche-318 owner.

Um Dan, he has a M10. So an M42 would make it worse.

I just looked at tire rack, I see good snow tires, but I can't seem to find a really good rain tire ...
Toyo Proxies T1-R's are great rain tires and pretty sticky to boot.

I currently have RT615's and they are down right scary in the rain, but they are well worn.

I'll add another vote for the RS2 Hankooks. Ive driven them through some real rain (not your california waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffles shit), and they're damn good as long as the tread depth is decent. I don't feel as confident with them as i did when i first got them, but they're down to the wear bars now.
