I have a couple of these laying around in storage. it is kind of a silly thing really. the theory of keeping the sun off the plastic back window is good, but come on....who is really going to get cover out and strap it on?

the elastic straps lose there springiness and it will blow off in a stiff wind.

That is a very nice piece to see. Did your E30 come with it?

I only stole the picture from way earlier in this thread.
South African's came with it as standard, other countries could order it.
Some other companies (Hartge, Alpina, among others) offered similar solutions.

Pretty much.
Fills through the same cap, and the way I understood the fuel runs down into your main tank so you can drive for longer before you run dry.


I can answer my own question by now:
No, the Touring didn't get it, neither did the convertible.
Only the 2door and 4door sedans got it.
