Isn't your widebody going to be a track only car? So, shouldn't you have some light wheels? (I don't think brocks are too light)

e36 front knuckes, struts and brakes, not totally sure about springs, I'm running coil overs. But my guess is e36 front springs, and e30 rears.
e30 front strut mount
moddified control arm bushings. www.treehouseracing.com makes some for this swap or you can get m3 offset bushings and slot the bracket
318ti rear t-arms compleate
I think you can use e36 control arms. I'm told you can use z3 t-arms, but they push the wheels out farther than stock, and was not recomended. Also you can use m3 front knucles and brakes, and m-roady rear t-arms, talk to lucasbmw, he has done that swap.

Seriously, 2 grand for wheels and tires is nothing when you are talking about track wheels and tires. My SSR Comps and Michelin race rubber cost more then 2 grand. Might want to rethink your budgeting (IE, allocate more funds to different areas). Just a suggestion and yes, those BBS that Prince has are fuckin money. Best of luck with the project!

Commenting off of SlammedE30's post...
Think about it this way: tires (and in turn wheels) are the single most important thing, outside being a good driver, that improves lap times. Sure, the suspension setup has to be proper and well sorted. However, going between street and race compounds, street and race wheels, etc is a huge difference (price and performance)
