    Estoril?

I'm nearing the completion stage of body work and priming. I'm debating over what color I should paint my car. It was schwarz, but nearly all of that paint is gone now, and all of it will be shortly. I am leaning towards alpine because I've always loved white e30s.

But I am intrigued by estoril on an e30. I've seen one non-M example, but everything was painted, and it lacked contrast. Plus, it was an early model. If I were to do estoril, I'd repaint all trim in satin black and go for as much contrast as possible. I've got a euro plate filler for that reason as well.

Enough babbling, what color? If Other, tell which you recommend.

    honestly, i'd say neither.
alpine: to bland (without bling wheels, smoked/red tails, fat lip, nice drop, etc)
estoril: I just have a thing against non e30-colors
...and you will always be able to tell the color change.
I'd say either shwartz or d-shwartz, both look fantastic when new and will less "pimp my e30"..

my old touring was carbon schwarz, and IMO the color didnt look as nice on the e30 lines as on the newer cars.

I say go for the estoril. It looks so nice on the M tech e46tourings over here, and you saw how nice it looks on euro3s car. one of my favorite colors!

        paint it electric orange! j/k

You could always go the ghetto route and paint it with that color shifting paint.

                              - E30 M3 Evo 2, Cab, Cecotto/Ravaglia, and Europa Meister

I think that's it, so its a pretty rare color.

I'm all about Mauritius Blue too. Here's a picture of a IX Touring with it:
