Since when won't an engine start due to the fan (which is on a clutch) not being able to spin?
I'd be concerned about that.
Need some close ups of the front area - but it looks like it may be easier to weld in a new upper rad support. At least you missed the bumper, so the mounts didn't compress and possibly bend the frame rails. I'd rather replace a fender or hood then deal with a tweaked unibody.

you should replace the radiator core support, and have the car put on a rack to check for straightness at least. a new core support is around $400 (used is less, but you have to cut it off), and the job to put it on should be about $500. at the very least, you'll want a real body shop to do that, but you can probably do the rest yourself.
or you can try to straighten it out, but it will never be quite right.Leave a comment:

URGENT - Accident - where to tow?
Okay, so my brother's '87 Mtech1 325is met the rear end of a new Impala this morning. The impala took off (luckily) and we pushed the car to a side road. We need to decide if we can put it in my garage and work on it over the next few weeks, or if we should just take it in and spend a fortune having a mechanic do it.
the front end is pressed in - the radiator support bar that goes across the car is pressed back a bit, and the radiator is pushed into the fan, which is now at an angle because of it. The car won't start because the fan is kinda pinned.
We're fairly competent in wrenching - I rebuilt an OBD1 S52 last year and managed to get it to start on the first try after it was all put back together. That said I would need a lot of direction.
So, is this something I can save money on by doing it myself, or is this damage that the body shop needs to address?
TIA for any input! Pics will come soon, but we need to move the car soon!
