Yes neither of those guys is running anywhere near the width that could fit back there .
What are your plans for the car in the sig? Sexy wheels (on the front, anyways)

255/40's did not fit though. Rubbed, mostly due to the shape of the Kumho 712 tire though. The 245/35R18 Toyo T1R's fit fine.

Jordan, How much rolling/pulling did you have to do to fit those 245's?

What kind of flares are on that white car?

Also, his wheels/tires are too small :p

that white car is one of the best MtechII cars I've ever seen though!
I just saw this post, so sorry for the late reply.

The flares are NOT the same width as stock. They are 1" wider on all corners.

As for the execution of the flares, I am in no way satisfied with the way they were done. I paid a shop to do the modifications and it wasn't until much later when I fitted my new wheels that I realized just how poorly done they were.

In the next month or two, once the engine is fully up and running and broken in/tuned, I will be cutting the flares completely off the car and starting them again from scratch. The new ones will be much larger, and more aggressive, and the rear track will be widened an additional 30mm from where it sits now. Also, the new flares are planned to be done in sheet metal, however I won't completely shun fiberglass if it ends up being the better choice. If I do go that route, they will be reinforced with CF and Kevlar. The result should be unlike anything anyone's seen done to an e30 to date. I'll have the bodywork donw by BimmerFest...paint depends on a lot of variables...but the whole car is getting re-sprayed.

Also, the wheels/tires shown in the last photo are 18x8.5 fronts on 245s, and the rears are 19x9.5s sitting on 255s. I've had up to 275s fit back there.

I meant that the front and rears are approximately the same width, not that they are the same as stock. the other car has the rears larger than the fronts, which makes it look more proportioned given the lower rear arches.

I know about getting screwed by a bodyshop - hope it works out.
