You know what's messed up is there was a brand new e30 chassis on ebay last night it went for 417 euros never been assembled. can you say nice new car or race car for that matter. Glad your amongst the living, and doing well.

I've got today a letter from my ins company
$3000 was my car worth, and they will pay me $3000 back
I'm happy with the money but I've gotta wait for the wreckprice now
if it's low I'm gonna buy it back and take a search for an new E30

I've now an E34 520i as daily driver and I miss the kick of driving an E30
it's way different if you compare those cars Sporty and bone hard vs confy and smooth

It had 45k miles when an ass ran a red light and totaled it in 1982, it was so blatent (the red light run) a Los Angeles city bus stopped to tell the police that happened to be there what happened.

they propose a public sale wich make the wreck price a lot higher :evil:

In the U.S. they have to give you a quote of totaled money they give you & money they gve minus the price for you to retain the wreck. I would talk to someone higher up at the insurance company if I were you.

same story here but the wreckprice will be indicated by a public sale, if the highest bidder will give me $1.500 (example)

$3000 car price before accident
-$1500 wreck price
= $1500 amount that the ins company pay me

after the public sale i can buy my own car back on the price of the highest bidder

that's our insurance system
