If you had 1k$ for your E30...or for my E30?

So I've got roughly a grand to throw down on my E30 right now. My plans are IE3 Springs(300$), Rear Shock Mounts(75$), IE Shorty Headers w/ Coating(410$)...

Any other suggestions? Got about another 500$ that I feel like spending...I've had a car leased for the past 3 years and have been DYING TO MODIFY A DAMN E30!!!! So Finally I have one..

Should I go MAF? I already have a track day planned very soon..So $ for that isn't an issue. Any thoughts? I already have a TMS Chip and Billy SP Shocks, SSK, and the other usuals.

    Any input..thoughts..ideas.

IE is definetly a lot more bang for the buck than H&R Race. Aside from SpecE30 (where you "need" H&Rs), I sell a lot more IE3s. I'd suggest a cat back exhaust before headers. I am going to get a IE catback soon for my convertible since they are now back in stock. :)

Also, if you are going to do a track day, I highly suggest subframe and T/A bushings. I'm still amazed at the difference they make. But the rate of install is a bit harder than any of the above.

I would say, IE3/H&R race, bilstein sports, control arms if you need them, tie rods if you need them and subframe, CA or TA bushings. Then sways, LSD, good wheels and tires for your next spending spree. I wouldn't spend money on the motor a N/A M20 doesn't have alot to be gained from it. All on suspension first.

Yeah if I had a grand to throw at my car right now it would have all new bushings and a diesel crank. And that set of 15x7 Koseis in the for sale section.

I actually already have a nice muffler with stock piping, it sounds amazing. I also have subframe and TA bushings already also :) Do you think it would be worth it to get their catback? What is the difference between their catback and a stock one..if there even is one performance-wise. I know the sound is deeper etc, but is the flow really better? I have a MF 14815 so I am not too tempted to change to a catback unless it's a bigger difference than my MF.

CABs, fixed camber plates, IEs, and possibly some brake upgrades then? What are you running for brakes?

Don't waste your money on IE's shorties. Poor design and no gains to be had.

RSM's should cost you no more than $30 for a pair of Meyle HD, there is no reason to go with any other mount on a primarily street driven car.

Suspension and sign up for 3 to 4 DE events and learn your car. Buy some good street tire and don't bother with R comps till you learn the car's limits with good suspension.

I've got Slotted Rotors and PBR Pads right now. I think I may get some SS Lines, forgot about those.

It's 75$ for the pair, not individual..from IE, their Billet RSM's. So no shorty headers? I heard they sound mean...but I may be incorrect.

I actually know the car VERY well, both from the track I had with one 3 years ago. Yes, I know this is a lot different, but I am very familiar with it through the type of driving I've put it through.

But I have many track days in mind, so I'm hoping to get LOTS very soon.

Again... there is absolutely no reason you or anyone else piddling around on the street needs solid RSM's. The only thing you stand to gain there is noise and torn sheet metal. Meyle HD ones are cheap and will stand up to pretty much anything.

if you planning on sick motor work then through on a sick suspension. get a few more bucks together and go with coilovers. It will make it easier to get the proper spring rates for the new weight up front.

+1 for coilovers. if not, dont waste time with ie3s, go with the H&R race. also +1 for brake upgrades also.
