I saw someone use landscaping plastic retaining edge stuff or something.

I've also seen sheet metal front lips.

Do I think you should do either one? No. lol

If you can't swing the $140 for a new iS lip than putting a lip on the car is going to be the least of your problems.

$1760, and $249 for a new valance, plus ~$100 to paint it. But I don't care enough right now about the fog light placement to waste the money, its not important. This thread has nothing to do with me or my car so don't be a waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffles.

you can try the reiger lip, but its expensive as well.
there have been a few guys that have used a lip from a volkswagon vr6 something or other i think. it doesn't fit exactily, but the ones i have seen look good. i don't know if there has been any talk of it here, but there was discusion about it maybe 6 months ago on e30tech.

But you're such an easy target that i simply had to. Besides, the guy asked for advice, not a criticism.

I gave him advice. If you can't afford a $140 cosmetic mod then you SHOULD NOT SPEND THE MONEY ON ONE. Guy would be fucked when it comes time to fix something mechanical.

You are the critical one attacking people.

Agreed, my comic timing was still spot on, and obviously landed a clean blow. Dont get your panties in a bunch, the more and more you react to simple taunts to more and more they will occur.

Get a lip off a 318 or eta in the junkyard and modify it a little, it could look pretty good. Or the regular I lip.

Yea...aside from the nonsense everywhere else - if you really can't afford to buy one yet, just wait. Sure, it looks bad without one, but that's ok.

If you just don't want to spend the money, I kept an I lip sitting in Rapid in a storage unit that I thought I'd use sometime, but I like to keep my rieger on year round. Let me know if you're interested. I wouldn't be back in Rapid until June though.

Not sure what they go for new, but maybe their cheap?

Oh man. This is too entertaining.

Actually, one of the main reasons I left Bimmerforums is cause every time I asked a question, Jordan would flame me for being such an idiot. F'in classic.
