    R.i.p. Pnw E30

My friend's and I were driving I-5 after an overnight snow through Bellingham, WA and we came across this unfortunate scene. We swung around to get a closer look at a nearby business. From what we could tell the E30 and a toyota 4runner got together somehow and the E30 (a new bumper IS with weaves) ended up hitting a lightpost and taking it completely down. The damage looks pretty bad on the E30, parts car I'm sure.

Hard to tell exactly what happened, but the conditions were much worse one hour prior to seeing this, so who knows. The pictures were taken as close as we could get to the car and you can see it had an airbag.

So, since this was not a R3V member, does it still count as a "R3V"?

I've never seen it before either.. I was in that area but it was a little later - the girlfriend spotted it on the back of a flatbed. blizzak WS50s FTW - there must have been 7 accidents from the border to bellingham, was pretty slick at 9 in the morning.

no way, not with c pillar damage and extensive damage to the front frame rails. that car is toast.

I'd try to use the parts from that wreck to save some other e30. That thing is totaled.

I think the fact that every factor was in play, it counts. It took out a pole for shits sake! Looks like everyone walked away. Good news. One more factory 325is down the tube. Shame.
