Something I hadn't thought about until now, anyone have an idea if there will be an 11th team this coming up year? Super Aguri won't be returning since it was basically setup to give Takuma a race seat and it looks like he may go to Toro Rosso. So will it just be 10 teams? I would like to see another team towards the bottom so Force India has somebody to play with :(

Doubt it with the world market.

i expect a few teams to drop out in the coming years, toyota has already hinted at it [for other reasons than listed above] But some smaller teams may pull out, leaving us with a 10 car field.

I think if more teams drop due to these rediculous spec "cost saving" measures, it will just serve as a reason to bring the breakaway series discussion back to the table. Remember that rumor a season or two ago?

I'm waiting for some Group B version of Formula One where budgets are non-existent. Far-fetched, yes, but it seems that many teams are finding these budget caps nearly prevent their success in Formula One.

The Toyota news I have heard about - nothing concrete, but they have gone on record saying they are entertaining the idea of making a return to LeMans with a full-fledged team. The Toro Rosso rumor I was unaware of. I have reason to believe it isn't true because this team has plans to be testing in a weeks' time and have invited Takuma Sato to test for one or two days. A test day is quite pricy - it doesn't make sense to do that if you plan on folding up shop.

Have heard nothing on Toro Rosso. Last news I read on Toyota is that they are in til at least 2012.

Toro Rosso is definitly returning, I think you might be misinterpreting the fact that they won't exist after 2009.

I always thought I was a pretty smart guy, but anyone care to explain KERS to me? I searched around and wasn't able to find anything concrete on what it actually does.
