not sure why i'm posting in here but I guess i'm bored...

I have two mazda hatchbacks as my other cars. I hate torque steer and FWD wheelspin but I love the practicality of a 4 door hatch. An E30 touring would fit the bill but that's a pipe dream. Maybe a 5 series touring would be good.

Mazda 3 for the wife = all the safety and airbags, nice stereo, fully loaded cruiser.
Mazda P5 for me, suspension done and mods to keep it fun. Rice is delicious.

Both can haul a ton of stuff and handle excellent. Great values in the market as well. Good gas mileage and maintenance free.

the new Mini with JCP package is awesome but it is very stiff and bouncy over the road imperfections, so unless you drive autobahn or perfectly smooth roads, it's on the edge as far as DD.

My daily is an 07 Cooper S. Turbo manual. It has a shit load of torque which allows for effortless commuting and around town driving, yet still has a great top end. I average 30mpg with it, and I don't drive too much like a grandma. I've gotten a max of 37mpg too. It's just an overall blast to drive.
