JasonC will appreciate this, First brand new car I ever owned was a 1989 Shelby CSX. The dealer had 2 left on the lot in 1990 and I got a smoking deal on trade of my Dodge GLH. These cars were really ahead of their time IMO with the composite wheels and variable nozzle turbo. Only options available on the car were Goodyear Gatorbacks and Recaro seats. My car, #315 of 500, had both!
Not my picture, but this is what it looked like. This particular car doesnt have the tire option.
I cant begin to tell you how many mustang owners I embarrassed with this car...

I hate to be the guy that doesn't read the thread but says something anyway, but
If I had to own a FWD car, I'd get an e30 that was permanently stuck in reverse :P
...i've driven a 318i in reverse down a 40mph road for a block (-wrapped out like a MF around 35mph-) and into an arby's parking lot, then through the drivethru, the passenger ordered, the look on the window guy's face when we pulled up to pay/pickup was FUCKING PRICELESS
sidenote: i almost lost my life in an MK2, no chance in hell will i make that mistake again.
Considering i daily a MkII, And i have people stare at me like WTF? dont you have 2 DOHC E30s????
So id prob go with either a New cooper S or a New MKII GTI
