so my engine oil light comes on when i hit the brakes(the overhead one) any ideas what would cause this. if you look the brake light bulbs on the overhead flashes for a millisecond andthen the oil one stays on while the pedal is pressed

Stupid question, you check your oil level?

exactly what I was going to say.

also possibly a loose connection at the sensor?

try the oil pressure sensor check if you have oil in the engine

the overhead sensor is for oil level, not pressure.

sure there is oil in the car. but check the level.

or check for a loose connection.
