Would you hesitate to buy an ix with 240k.

I don't know much about ix's and thier reliability. I just wondered if you would buy an ix with 240k on it. Any ix specific issues?

Just like any E30, it all depends on previous maintenance and documentation. I wouldn't immediately dismiss any E30 based solely on miles.

i would, unless the engine been rebuilt.. same goes for tranny/trans case, IF it does have immaculate everything with proper maint. then I'd give it another 100k miles till it would need some major overhaul

I wish I could help, but I am not familiar with an IX since I live in the south. Only seen one on the road and it had northern tags on it. But I wouldn't give $1900 for an e30 with 240k unless it was immaculate and been well maintained. I have an 87 IS with 260k on it and I only paid $700 and the body was great with zero rust.

Depend on if or when the transfer case has been swapped out. Or if you had a spare parts car. Driveline issues are expensive on iX's.

my transfer case and tranny have 250k on them - as long as it's not abused and has been maintained, it's just like any other E30. don't know if I'd pay $1900 for it though.

Exactly you would want to see maintance history or knew the car's history.

Yeah, if i bought it i wouldn't pay 1900, more like 1500. I was just checking to see if you guys think its even worth putting a bid in on. I think for my personal needs and wants a subaru AWD wagon would be much more affordable and practical cause i need a good snowboard hauler/winter beater.
