well iv searched a little but didnt find anything about it, i have 8000k HID lights and i got pulled over the other night and got a ticket! not a fix it ticket a tick sumense for court! now i was wondering what is the law about it in CA? anybody know about it help me out..

they are 8000k and i aimed them just right, after i installed them. the shierif who pulled me over said that they were to BLUE! not that they were blinding or bright or anything like that.....my friend has 6000k hids and they are more blue then me, mine are better ajusted and a brighter white, but still blue.. soo i dont know what the hell is going on with rocky cops now a days...?Last edited by E30FreaK89; 01-01-2008, 10:36 PM.

Uninstall them and toss normal bulbs in, just tell the court you had blue ricer bulbs installed.

i dont understand why i have to go to court? i mean its only BLUE head lights, and they arent any bluer then the HID's on new cars!!! it should just be a fix it ticket.....right?

Improper lighting on the roadway is dangerous, that's why you have to go to court. It happens constantly to guys around here who buy plug & play hid 'retrofit' kits. Get a 5k or lower bulb and you'll have no problems. The HID's on new cars also have suitable projector housings that don't let out stray light. Park your car parallel to a wall and look at the cutoff from the side. My guess is that interstate overpass signs are illuminated by your headlights.

5ks put out the most lumens. And jordo is right about any hid kit. Euro elipsoids are also illegal to run.Comment
