Drive behind an 18 wheeler. Problem solved.

18 wheelers go to slow for me to follow, tailgating minivans is where its at.

Everyone has to start somewhere, and the drivetrain is the last thing on my to do list. I just spent $5k on wheels and suspension alone... this car will be well sorted. Sorry I can't snap my fingers and have everything anyone has ever imagined doing to a e30 done overnight.

How come you never post any photos of your shitheap e30?

Saw this yesterday, I'd like to see the wind tunnel he tested it in.

Bet that would even get 90 miles before overheating.

So these guys block off their grills to keep a hotter engine and increase aerodynamics, advocate cold starts and instantly heading off (no warm up), and drive like retards to stretch every last bit of gas?

I mean I have adjusted my driving habits because of my suv... went from 14.5mpg to 16mpg :P
But these guys are talking about treating every green light like a red, and coasting down to 5-10mph until they are ABSOLUTELY sure it won't go red (as in don't speed back up until your 10ft away from the intersection).

I think I'd rather pay the extra $5 and not worry about scoring my cylinder walls or warping the head, or getting rearended by a pissed off hummer.

wow that thing is ugly. I'm all about independence from foreign oil and whatnot but I refuse to cover my car with posterboards and bondo.

I really doubt he is getting the mpg that he is claiming. The shape may be aerodynamic but he still has very high skin friction from all the bondo, tape, misaligned panels etc. Not to mention he should be getting the same gas millage at 30 mph as a stock civic not 90mpg.

Does any one have a pic of the e30 that BMW made to compete in a mpg event? It looks similar.

Who else has put a tech2 kit on a bone stock 318? Just curious... It's his money, and the car is gonna end up being better than 90% of the cars here anyway.

But on topic... While the craftsmanship leaves a lot to be desired, at least they're trying to do something that helps the environment, and I can respect that. Would I drive it? Fk no!

That would be going the wrong direction.
People there probably dream of HX swaps or something. A dual point injected d15 would also be pimpness :P
