First off, I didn't go through a school zone at 100MPH. So you are a winner. And I wouldn't spend that much, I'd spend around 300-400$ for a lawyer. Lastly, because I'm young and get a speeding ticket I'm a "young punk"? Good, can't wait til I'm old and get one, then I can graduate to an old punk.

No, there isnt much else. Get a lawyer, pay his/her fees and hope for the best.

Here's what I did in California

Do what you can. Deal with the ticket, as cheap as possible, traffic school, what not. Get that 90 day suspension.

Just drive with the suspension.

If they pull you over, tell them you forgot your DL somewhere but you have another ID to prove who you are and to match with the registration (a school ID works). They will fine you $10 for not having your DL in possession, chances are they won't bother to run the system for your name to look for your DL# to look for your information if you look legit.

By the time you need to take care of the DL not in possession ticket, you should have your DL back by then. Just take your freshly renewed DL to your local court and show the DL and the ticket to the clerk. Pay ten bucks and get outta there!

Basically, you can drive with the suspended license and not get caught.

SO I got a speeding ticket today, and because I am under 18, my license will be suspended for 90 fucking days. This really sucks. I was looking at hiring a lawyer to win this out but they are expensive (1500$). If I appeal it, and I go before a clerk magistrate is there anyway I can get rid of it?

well the "forgotten license" ploy might work unless the cop was looking to nail you and DID run your license then you in BIG trouble. I'm not going to call you any names since I speeded when I was younger -- and still do if I'm honest but I really think "manning up" is the best advice.

Oddly enough, this is how I deal with my speeding tickets. I'm not sure what goes down exactly, but I pay my lawyer, and he comes back with good news or bad news.

Not sure about the hooking up with the judge, going to the local strip club and deleting your file from the system part....

Having said all that, from what I understand the officer that issued the ticket, must be present in court on the day of your "trial" if he fails to appear, the ticket is dropped. Apparently this happens more often than not...

What I did when i got a speeding ticket in NC is, I called a lawyer in the county that I was pulled in and told him about the ticket and that I wanted it to be taken care of. Didnt want it on my record, no license points, no insurance rate increase, ect...

He said alright, im going to send you some paperwork and you send me a check for $300 and I will take care of it.

I asked if I needed to meet up with him or anything and he said no, I will take care of it all.

I sent him my $300 heard from him about a month later saying everything was good and that if I ever need anything again to give him a call.

Pretty much what they do is, most lawyers are friends with the judge or someone and they will take the money, go buy some drinks, play some golf or whatever and then remove the file from the system.

My hook ups around here have to catch the ticket before it hits the computer system. Once it hits the system it is almost impossible to get rid of and then a lawyer would be needed. The lawyer then keeps putting off the court date and buying time all in an effort to catch the officer off guard where he will not show for court resulting in the case being dropped because of him not making the put off court date. All in while you should be able to keep your license that your lawyer should have given you and the permission to drive while pending court date.
