If your trying to save weight (vs. looks) it's not worth it. The stock fenders are awfully light to begin with and the cost of the fenders would probably be better spent on go-fast parts.

I love the way carbon fiber looks, but that civic just looks stupid. It appears tacky, cheap, and like an unfinished project. I'd definitely paint the fenders.

e30 fenders weigh what, 5lbs? seriously, they're paper thin as it is. it would probably cost $1200 for a pair, and you'd lose like 8lbs..
