I think they are on the right track,... im not saying id buy a hyundai. but i wouldnt buy a new 80k dollar bmw either. ill always be a used car guy i think. i remember the days when honda cars were a joke. they make a pretty damn good product now and i suspect hyundai will also.
at least they are starting with a rear wheel drive platform

The Chinese are comming into the market as well in like 2009... They are somewhat where Honda was in the 60's and 70's, but given that China is the second largest auto-market in the world at this point I'm sure they will begin to produce better products in the next 10-20 years.

Actually, some of my friends live in these houses, and their parents are the ones driving 90s Corollas and RLs. The fact that they're Indian might have something to do with it ;)

right on, this was my point. i have a brother in law who works for medtronics and got in early. hes got stock coming out the ass and he invests all his money with my sister. hes got a 20 million dollar portfolio and he drives a new hyundai. its an ugly fucking car but he isnt a car guy and doesnt give 2 shits if he looks rich or poor, in fact, he looks like average joe. these are the guys who are really rich, not these waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffless driving 550 6 speeds leased and financed to the max

My brother is like that...makes plenty and drives a Honda Accord 4cyl with 160k miles (bought brand new), good gas mileage and minimal maintenance is his ideal perfect car.
