      The was produced in two distinct versions, each with several variations. Early cars have a known as the S38 B36. These M5s were built in both left-hand and right-hand drive configurations, as well as a North American-specification edition. There were also a small amount of 3.6-liter M5s assembled in South Africa, exclusively for that market.

            I remember this car from a while back.... maybe on bfc or something. I don't remember what the conclusion was, but we think there was funny business involved.

            Either way, I'd own one if it existed. After I bought a pristine 3.8 hardtop to accompany it.
