My point is not that I want to be a cheap ass because in all honesty I have 2 complete sets of smilies for e34 sitting here that I could take the sockets from (and probably will do until I have a buddy that has some to spare)
My point was that 2 bucks for such a things is just ridiculous and now I understand the true meaning of the name "stealership"
I took my car once to the dealership to do the alignment and they did the worst job ever so I guess I still have that in my mind.
As for that alignment, explain how it was the worst job ever please. Im curious.Originally posted by blunti would jerk larry king off while tonging jflips ass if h0lmes would blow his head off

My point here was to say that the $.35 price given in another post was way off.
For the alignment, when you install lowering springs and take your car to the dealership and they ask you for a spec sheet on the springs to know how to set your camber, that's pretty sad. I am no mechanic and I know better. In the end, I left the shop and the steering wheel was not even aligned, the tires now have less than 6k miles on them and are completely shut in the inside and the car isn't even dropped that much.
I'm glad if you guys have a good dealer near you but as far as I am concerned, the one in my town never has parts, the guy behind the counter is worthless, when he is awake (and he has no clue what he's selling to you)
If you guys think it is a matter of not wanting to spend $12, you're wrong, and by the way, I don't think anybody on this board is able to tell me what I can afford to buy or not.344is! Obd1 conversion

2) No one said you cant afford it. Id like to see where we said that. We said you were a douche for shopping around to save $12.
As far as your alignment, you should have spoken up. we have 3 great techs at our shop, and 2 who dont know what the hell theyre doing. If your alignment sucked so bad, you should have brought it right back, and requested the shop foreman to perform the job correctly.
Trust me, BMW lets techs flag more hours than they really work for 10 out of 10 times. The last thing service wants is to piss off a customer because their techs didnt do the job right. They more than likely would have just ran it through the shop again, and had the job done over. But instead of speaking up (Im assuming), you probably just said nothing, pouted, and bitched and moaned to everyone who you thought cared.Originally posted by blunti would jerk larry king off while tonging jflips ass if h0lmes would blow his head off

I'll get some when I place an order for other parts.
To all the useless posts from other members. Assumptions are usually a sign of ignorance.
And if I can't stand the dealership, this is my own business and I couldn't care less what you "dealer lovers" think of my opinions.

Let me suggest you go back and reread your first post. No mention of alignment, no mention of bad service or trashed tires, only whining about how "2 bucks for one is a bit much." (fixed your typo.) Now you want to come back and yell at those of us pointing out that you're going to waste more in time and gas to get a cheaper price than to just pay it while you're there? Good luck with that.
Tim
BTW, no one is "assuming" anything. It's all right there in your first post. Here, I'll highlight the relevant parts for you in case you missed them in your own post.
I am installing cross hair in my ellipsoids and of course, while taking of the adjusters, I broke half the plastic sockets (part number 63 12 1 378 369)
I had seen a member mention on here that they were something like $.35 a piece so I called and wanted to get like 6-8 of them.
Well, let me tell you that the price is not exactly $.35 a piece but more like $1.90 a piece
Well, I guess I am going to look around for a few because 2 bucks for one is a but much (it becomes more of a principle than anything else at this point)
Now I know why I never buy anything there.
By any chance, if anybody has a few hanging around, I'll take them
1987 E30 cabrio | Bumper swap | H&R Sport | Koni Yellow | Eibach Sways | BavAuto strut bar | Cardinal seats
MTech2 wheel | Husco Armrest | Smoked Hella Smileys | 5k HID | Stromung | RS003 | Shadowline | Amber Fogs | Too much else to list

I did the same thing to my lights and needed 8 of them. They quoted me 3.54 a piece! Since I know the guy there pretty well, he gave me 10 for 3.54 then i went home, broke 6 and needed 6 more. Came back and the guy i knew was gone. I paid 20 for like 6 of them cause i had to pay 3.54 a piece. It is so much better to get them and not have to wait around and pay shipping and stuff. I am sure BMW's prices vary by location, it makes sense.
As a matter of fact I have 2 laying round' here somewhere if you really need them they are 1$ a piece shipped!

Heres the bottom line:
All dealers pay $1.16 a piece. Fact.
If someone is only charging a whiney bitch $2, they must be ok guys. especially considering Matrix pricing shows their price over $6.
Sure, Assumptions are usually a sign of ignorance. Now show me where we assumed anything. You were being a whiney little bitch boy, crying about a couple dollars.
Remember: Pussies are here to be fucked.

Lol. Well he is being ridiculous. Im tired of automatically assuming the dealerships rip people off. If you price most things, we're actually pretty competitive. There are some things that are outrageous, I'll agree (this isnt one of them). But I think we are priced within 10% of most other AFTERMARKET prices, and sometimes cheaper.Originally posted by blunti would jerk larry king off while tonging jflips ass if h0lmes would blow his head off
