Waxing the Sled

What do you guys use to wax a wooden sled? Ive never done this before?
Ive herd of using ski wax but i think ski's are made of fiberglass. so im not sure.

Tip and Tail Cross country ski wax for wooded skis will work. Good luck finding it. Otherwise a downhill wax will work just fine using an iron to apply it.

i would assume normal ski wax would help, but who knows how much.
the bases of skis are made of ptex. they use fiberglass to wrap the wood core, but the sliding surface is ptex which is a plastic.
