    Cars from your past

Let's take a trip down memory lane, shall we? What kind of cars have you owned? Anything come close to your E30?

    I'll start:

(1994-1996) 1974 Ford F250 - My high school transportation, actually owned by my father but it was "mine" to drive around etc. A big black monster, with 36" tires and chrome wheels, 4" factory hi-boy lift and a rebuilt 390 V-8 that got about 5mpg. BIG, NOISY, BEAST. The tires were actually louder than the engine at 20mph+

(1997-2000) 1966 Ford Mustang - A straight 6 but still very cool, first car I actually owned. Perfect interior with the GT package. It's cool to turn young and old people's heads the same :D Sold on ebay to a guy in FL (I live in Seattle!).

(2000-2003) 1990 VW Corrado G60 - MAN was this car a blast! Too bad it broke down every other week. At its peak all the electrics worked, including the spoiler! In the end I thought I would die every time I drove it. Sold as a parts car :(

(2003-current) 1989 235is - By far the best car I've owned. No others even come close to how solid this car feels, not to mention the hot euro look and feel. I wish I could have found a manual but that's really the ONLY gripe I have about this car. Everything else is just.... I am speechless. I am without speech.

BTW I'm 25 and I paid my own cash for every car I owned. Not many, for sure, but certainly not your run-of-the-mill my-dad-bought-me-a-kia-when-I-graduated type cars either

1986-1988 My first car, an '82 VW Rabbit GTI.....great driving car for a fwd.

1988-1989 My first bimmer, '82 E12 528i....great driving car period.

    1989-1990 License suspended

1990-2002 My favorite, 1990 MX-5 Miata....only reason I don't have it still is 'cause I moved to Asia. I did get one here, same color and everything, but had to get rid of it when we were expecting our first child.

2002-present My 2nd favorite and still growing on me, 1989 330i Cab....it's our family car, and the first car I've modded. Now with the 3.0L stroker, I'm enjoying this car much more every day.....just wish I could throw the engine into a Miata ;)

      - 1985 GMC S-15 pickup. Given to me by my grandmother, drove it all the way through high-school and a year into college.

      - 1989 4-door Subaru GL sedan. Bought it after my first year in college, died the day after I bought it on the freeway. The distibutor somehow come off the the rotor and stopped spinning at 80 mph on the freeway. Stupid dealerships. Sold it to buy my first E30 to a girl who blew the engine up after one week of owning it, then totalled it. It was in pristine condition, too.

      - 1988 BMW 325. Bought in October of 2002. Engine and tranny swap to M20B25 in July of 2003, and converted to full 325iS spec. Totalled August 5th of 2003.

      - 1987 BMW 325iS. Purchased as donor car for M20B25 engine and new tranny. parted out.

      - 1989 BMW 325i. Orignally purchased to be new E30 project car. Parted out after frame damage discovered.

Currently on the seach for the next E30...

(2000- ) 1987 honda civic: Great first car. Allot of speeding, beer runs, Grass sliding, Wreckless driving, and just good old fashion young buck fun. 8)
It was a gift from my dad (just got my license)

(2002-) 1982 VW Jetta: With this car I learned to tune, rebuild, and swap with some bodyworks and welding. Really goT me into the hole "tuning" thing.

(2002-) 1986 VW Cabriolet: Got it because it was summer and was a valuble doner car for my jetta.(As you can see) lol

(2003-) 1992 Nissan 300zx: Best car performence wise. Thing sticks to any turn, the thing's a monster. Was a gift from a Cousin who left the country (and is for sale :D )

(2004-) 1986 BMW 325: Always loved the look of these cars, I couldn't pass up on the low price.

I still have all these cars btw :P [/img]

(1995-1998) 1976 Ford Taunus 1.6 - never gave me trouble, comfy to drive
(1998-2003) 1988 VW Jetta 1.8 - my reason to never ever buy another VW, what a POS
(2003-) 1972 Volvo 142 - a classic brick coupe, I love it, nothing breaks that can't be fixed with a sledgehammer, 82 hp (plenty of torque) is enough to have plenty of rear-end fun in the winter
(2003-) 1989 BMW 325iX - best car I've ever driven, being restored atm.. miss driving it
(2004-) 1985 BMW 728i - parts car, engine and interior in great shape but damaged front bumper and right fender
(2004-) 1982 BMW 518i - needed something for the longer trips, electric windows and beefy stereo for a fantasticly low total of $300

I own the last four cars.

                      '88 Mazda B2200

Biggest POS ever. I took it in for a tune-up once because it was running like crap, and the mechanic told me that two of the spark plugs were caked in oil and the truck was only running on two cylinders! It was a 2.2 litre and I got about 15 mpg with it. We ended up donating it to charity for a tax write-off because there is no way anybody would have bought it.
